A new model context protocol (MCP) server for Adobe Marketo Engage is expected to be unveiled at Adobe Summit later this month in Las Vegas. Over the past year, MCP servers have rapidly gained traction as both developers and “vibe coders” look for ways to connect AI tools with their underlying data sources. An MCP functions as a connector between applications and data, supporting smooth integrations and automated workflows. A Marketo Engage MCP server would not be Adobe’s first foray into MCP: the latest Adobe Experience Manager release notes describe an MCP server that exposes Cloud Manager Public APIs as tools for AI-powered IDEs like Cursor. Once that MCP is wired up, developers can use conversational prompts to list and manage programs, pipelines, environments and repositories.
Although Adobe has not yet formally confirmed an MCP server for Marketo, vendors such as Inflection.io, Zapier and CData already provide Marketo MCP servers. Buzz about an official Marketo Engage MCP server started after Adobe customers were given early looks at what the company plans to showcase at its annual event. The new server would let marketing operations teams or developers control Marketo through AI prompts—for instance, “Create a new smart campaign for my next webinar”—instead of manually navigating the Marketo UI.
