Microsoft has started rolling out its first agentic experiences inside Copilot, its AI answer engine. With Copilot Checkout, shoppers can complete purchases directly within Copilot, without being sent to other websites. Everything happens inside the Copilot chat interface. In addition, a new capability called Brand Agents is launching for Shopify stores, giving merchants an AI chat experience trained on their own product catalog. According to Microsoft, the AI replies will reflect your brand’s voice and are “built for fast, scalable adoption.”
Copilot Checkout. Copilot Checkout is beginning its U.S. rollout on Copilot.com. It supports conversational purchasing right inside Copilot, within the ongoing chat thread. The feature integrates with partners such as PayPal, Shopify, Stripe, and Etsy. Shopify merchants will be automatically added to Copilot Checkout but can choose to opt out, while non-Shopify merchants can apply to join through an onboarding process. Brand Agents. Brand Agents is now live for Shopify merchants. Microsoft said it carries your brand’s voice into every digital interaction on your site. The system is trained on a merchant’s product catalog, enabling it to respond to in-depth product questions.
